XTB Signs FC Porto Shirt Sponsorship Deal

XTB has agreed to become the sleeve sponsor for FC Porto's domestic matches starting in 2026/27, following a similar partnership with Napoli. The deal aims to boost XTB's brand presence in Europe and the MENA region.

XTB, the online trading and investment platform, has announced a three-year global partnership with Portuguese football club FC Porto. Starting from the 2026/27 season, XTB will serve as the sleeve sponsor for the club's men's first-team shirts in domestic competitions. The agreement also includes advertising exposure through pitch-side LED boards, stadium videowalls, press room branding, and other promotional assets at Estádio do Dragão. Additionally, the partnership will involve digital content and player-related marketing campaigns.

This announcement follows XTB's earlier partnership with Italian club SSC Napoli, announced in April, extending the broker's football sponsorship strategy across another major European league. XTB's CEO, Omar Arnaout, stated that the partnership would increase the company's visibility in Europe and help connect with football audiences, emphasizing a focus on 'financial education and empowerment for a global fanbase.'

Achraf Drid, Managing Director of XTB MENA, noted that the agreement supports the company's international expansion, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa region. The deal also grants XTB digital communication rights, allowing the company to promote the partnership across its online channels.

For retail forex traders, this news signals XTB's aggressive marketing and brand-building efforts, which could lead to increased competition and potentially more attractive offers for new clients. However, it does not directly affect trading conditions or regulatory status. Traders should continue to monitor XTB's regulatory disclosures and service quality rather than be swayed by sponsorship visibility alone.
