Equiti Expands Al Wahda Sponsorship to Front-of-Shirt
Equiti Group has renewed and upgraded its sponsorship of Abu Dhabi football club Al Wahda FC, moving from sleeve to front-of-shirt branding for the 2026/27 season. The deal includes exclusive training kit branding and continued community involvement, reflecting the broker's marketing strategy.
Equiti Group, a global forex and CFD broker, has announced an expanded sponsorship agreement with Abu Dhabi football club Al Wahda FC for the 2026/27 season. The deal moves Equiti's branding from the sleeve to the front of the club's home, away, and goalkeeper shirts, alongside developer Lead Development. This marks a significant upgrade in visibility, as the club's matches are broadcast extensively across the region.
Equiti's partnership with Al Wahda began in 2024 as a sleeve sponsor. The renewal follows Al Wahda's success in the 2025/26 season, including winning the ADIB Cup and reporting 70.1 million television viewers across 760 hours of coverage. The expanded sponsorship also includes pitch-side LED advertising, stadium branding, and exclusive branding on the team's training kits for the first team and academy.
In addition to the shirt sponsorship, Equiti will continue its role as naming partner of Dubai's Youth Football League and will host the third edition of the Equiti Challenge corporate tournament. This event, held in February 2026, featured teams from institutions like Abu Dhabi Police and the Ministry of Justice.
From a watchdog perspective, this development is a marketing and branding move rather than a regulatory or operational one. It does not directly affect the safety of retail forex traders. However, it demonstrates Equiti's ongoing investment in regional visibility and community engagement, which could reflect on the company's overall financial health and long-term strategy. Traders may view such sponsorship as a sign of stability, but it is not an indicator of trading conditions or regulatory standing.
Equiti Group operates in multiple jurisdictions and is regulated by several authorities, including the FCA in the UK and DFSA in the UAE. This expanded sponsorship does not change any regulatory obligations or protections for clients. Retail forex traders should continue to monitor their broker's regulatory status and performance metrics separately.
