CySEC Flags 10 Unlicensed Investment Websites

CySEC issued a warning against 10 websites offering investment services without authorization, reminding investors to verify regulated entities before engaging with them.

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued a fresh warning against a group of websites that are offering, or appear to offer, investment services without the required authorization in Cyprus. In a notice dated 14 August 2026, the regulator stated that these websites are not affiliated with any entity authorized to provide investment services or perform investment activities under Article 5 of Law 87(I)/2017.

The warning lists ten specific domains: m4-platform.com, m4-markets-latam.vercel.app, waltonmarketltd.com, investiumlimited.com, evercrest.capital, gofx.com, tazerpro.com, quantacfd.com, cypriantrustbank.com, and omnixmarkets.com.

Some of these domains closely resemble or mimic legitimate, regulated brands. For instance, CySEC's own register lists Investium Limited as a licensed CIF with licence number 421/22, but its approved domain is flexinvest.com, not investiumlimited.com. Similarly, the regulator's approved-domain list includes www.m4markets.eu for Harindale Ltd, which operates under the trade name M4Markets, whereas the warning names m4-platform.com and m4-markets-latam.vercel.app.

CySEC did not provide further details about the operators behind these websites. However, the regulator reiterated its advice for investors to always consult its official website before conducting business with any investment firm. This warning follows a familiar pattern from the Cypriot watchdog, which regularly updates investors about websites that are not connected to authorized entities. These notices often include trading and investment brands that present themselves as brokers or financial service providers, despite not being listed among firms supervised by CySEC.

Firms operating without authorization in Cyprus fall outside CySEC's supervisory framework, which means clients may not have access to the protections available when dealing with licensed investment firms. These protections include complaint procedures, investor compensation funds, and other safeguards under the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law.

CySEC maintains a public register of regulated entities on its website, allowing investors to verify company names, license numbers, approved domains, and contact details before opening an account or transferring money. Retail forex traders are strongly advised to perform such checks to avoid falling victim to unregulated entities that may pose significant financial risks.
