XLearner accounts: what we actually know

When we set out to review the account offering at XLearner (the trading name of Rynat Trading Ltd, registered in Cyprus), we expected to find a standard menu of retail account tiers, complete with spreads, commissions and leverage details. Instead, our research turned up something far more modest: the broker's own website, xlearner.eu, does not appear to publish any specific account types, minimum deposits, spreads or commission schedules. In fact, our records show no verifiable website or social-media presence at all — a significant red flag for any trader considering opening an account.

This absence of published account information is itself the most important finding. For a broker that claims to be regulated by CySEC under a Market Making (MM) licence, the lack of transparent account documentation is unusual. Established brokers typically display their account tiers prominently, along with the regulatory disclaimers that CySEC requires. The fact that we could not confirm any account details from the official domain means that any figures you see elsewhere — on aggregator sites, forums or third-party review pages — should be treated with extreme caution, as they may refer to a different entity entirely.

The regulatory backdrop: CySEC and what it means for your account

Rynat Trading Ltd holds a CySEC licence under the Market Making (MM) category, with licence number 303/16, registered in Cyprus. CySEC is one of the most respected regulators in the European Union, and a Market Making licence allows the firm to operate as a dealer, quoting prices to clients and taking the opposite side of their trades. This is a standard model for retail forex brokers, but it also means the broker has a direct interest in your trading outcomes.

For traders, the key implication of a CySEC licence is the application of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) product intervention measures. These rules, which have been in force since 2018, impose a maximum leverage of 30:1 for major forex pairs, 20:1 for non-major pairs, and even lower limits for cryptocurrencies and commodities. They also require negative balance protection, meaning you cannot lose more than your account balance. If XLearner is fully compliant with its CySEC obligations, these protections should apply to all retail clients. However, we were unable to verify the broker's actual compliance from public records, and the absence of a verifiable website makes it impossible to confirm the terms you would actually receive.

Account types: no official tiers disclosed

Our review found no official disclosure of account types on the XLearner website. We cannot confirm whether the broker offers a standard 'Standard' account, a 'Pro' account, an Islamic swap-free account, or any other tier that is common in the industry. This is a critical gap. Without official documentation, we cannot tell you which account might suit a beginner, an experienced trader, or someone who prefers automated trading.

In the absence of official information, we must caution against relying on third-party descriptions. Industry databases and review sites sometimes list account details for brokers, but for a broker with no verifiable web presence, those details are often fabricated or copied from a similarly named entity. We cross-checked the known facts — the official domain, the regulator and the country of registration — and found no match with any account data in the public domain. Therefore, our honest assessment is that the account offering at XLearner is effectively unknown, and any decision to deposit funds should be made with that uncertainty front and centre.

Minimum deposit and funding: not disclosed

The minimum deposit required to open an account with XLearner is not published in our records, nor could we find it on the official website. This is a fundamental piece of information that any trader needs before committing funds. Without it, you cannot plan your initial investment, and you have no way of knowing whether the broker is accessible to retail traders with modest capital or only to high-net-worth individuals.

We also found no information about funding methods. There is no mention of bank transfers, credit/debit cards, e-wallets like Skrill or Neteller, or any other payment options. In our experience, brokers that fail to disclose funding methods are either very new, very secretive, or potentially problematic. For a broker founded in February 2022, it is possible that the website is still under construction, but that is not an excuse for a regulated entity. We advise any trader to demand clear funding information before making a deposit, and to be wary if the broker cannot provide it.

Leverage and risk: the ESMA framework

Because XLearner is registered in Cyprus and holds a CySEC licence, the leverage offered to retail clients is legally capped by ESMA rules. The maximum for major forex pairs is 30:1, for minor pairs and gold it is 20:1, and for other assets it is even lower. This is a protective measure designed to limit the risk of catastrophic losses, and it applies to all EU-regulated brokers. However, we have no confirmation that XLearner actually adheres to these limits in practice, and the lack of a verifiable website makes it impossible to check.

For professional clients, the leverage limits do not apply, and brokers can offer much higher ratios. But to be classified as a professional client, you must meet specific criteria, including a portfolio of at least €500,000 and relevant experience. We found no evidence that XLearner offers professional accounts, nor any documentation on how to apply for one. In our assessment, the safest assumption is that any leverage offered to retail clients will be within the ESMA caps, but traders should verify this directly with the broker before trading.

Spreads and commissions: no official figures

We could not find any official spread or commission information for XLearner. The broker does not publish typical spreads for EUR/USD, nor does it disclose whether it charges a commission on trades. In the Market Making model, brokers often earn revenue through the spread rather than a separate commission, but this is not guaranteed. Without official figures, we cannot compare XLearner's pricing to industry averages, and we cannot tell you whether the costs are competitive.

This lack of transparency is concerning. Spreads and commissions are the primary costs of trading, and a broker that hides them is not giving you the full picture. We recommend that any trader ask for a detailed schedule of spreads and commissions before opening an account, and to compare it with other CySEC-regulated brokers. If XLearner cannot provide this information, that is a strong signal to look elsewhere.

Trading platforms and demo accounts

The trading platform offered by XLearner is not disclosed in our records. We do not know whether the broker offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, or a proprietary platform. This is a significant omission, as the platform is the primary tool you will use to execute trades, analyse the market and manage your positions. Without knowing the platform, you cannot assess its usability, charting tools, or automated trading capabilities.

Similarly, we found no evidence of a demo account. A demo account is essential for testing a broker's platform and execution without risking real money, and most reputable brokers offer one. The absence of any mention of a demo account is another red flag. In our view, a trader should never deposit funds with a broker that does not offer a demo account, as it indicates a lack of confidence in their own service. We could not verify whether XLearner provides demo accounts, and we advise caution until this is clarified.

Opening an account: the KYC process

The account opening process at XLearner is not documented. We do not know whether it is fully online, what documents are required, or how long verification takes. For a CySEC-regulated broker, the standard KYC (Know Your Customer) process typically requires a copy of your passport or ID, proof of address, and sometimes a selfie for verification. This is a legal requirement under EU anti-money laundering rules, and we assume XLearner would follow it, but we cannot confirm.

We also found no information about the account opening form, whether it is available on the website, or whether there are any restrictions on who can open an account. Given the lack of a verifiable website, we cannot even confirm that the account opening process is functional. In our assessment, the safest approach is to contact the broker directly and ask for a detailed explanation of the process before submitting any personal documents. If the broker is unresponsive or evasive, that is a clear warning sign.

Our verdict: proceed with extreme caution

In FXCanary's assessment, XLearner presents a paradox: it claims a CySEC licence, which is a mark of legitimacy, but it has no verifiable website, no published account details, and no social-media presence. Our records show zero employees, which is unusual for a regulated broker, and the registered address in Limassol is a single office in a multi-tenant building. While these facts do not prove fraud, they do not inspire confidence.

The FXCanary Scam Risk Score for XLearner is 43 out of 100, which we classify as 'Guarded'. This means we have not found definitive evidence of a scam, but the risk is elevated due to the lack of transparency. We strongly advise any trader considering XLearner to demand full documentation of its account terms, regulatory compliance and company information before depositing a single euro. If the broker cannot provide this, walk away. There are many other CySEC-regulated brokers with transparent account offerings, and your capital deserves better than a mystery.

How to open a XLearner account

The typical steps to open and fund a XLearner account. FXCanary always recommends testing a broker with a small deposit and a withdrawal before committing serious capital.

  1. Register — sign up on the official XLearner site with your email and basic details.
  2. Verify (KYC) — upload ID and proof of address; regulated brokers legally must verify you.
  3. Choose an account — pick a tier from the table above that matches your deposit and strategy.
  4. Fund — deposit via a supported method (start small to test the process).
  5. Test a withdrawal — before scaling up, confirm you can withdraw smoothly.
