Account types at Real Fx Expert: what the records actually show
When we set out to map the account offering at Real Fx Expert — the trading name used by TopFX Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom — we expected to find a standard menu of retail and professional tiers. Instead, our review of the public records and the broker's own published materials turned up a striking absence: there is no verifiable breakdown of account types, minimum deposits, or leverage tiers on the official domain realfxexpert.com.
That silence is itself a finding. For a broker that presents itself as a forex and derivatives provider, the lack of a transparent account structure is unusual and, in our view, a red flag. In this deep-dive, we walk through what is known, what is not disclosed, and what a cautious trader should consider before opening an account.
The corporate shell: TopFX Ltd and its two licences
Real Fx Expert is the trading name of TopFX Ltd, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom on 26 January 2022. The registered address is 1 Bessborough Gardens, Westminster, London SW1V 2JQ, UK. On paper, the firm holds two licences: one from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC) under a Market Making (MM) authorisation, licence number 138/11, and one from the Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) under a Derivatives Trading License (EP), licence number SD037.
We cross-checked these licence numbers against the public registers. The CYSEC number 138/11 is a real, active licence — but it is not held by TopFX Ltd. It belongs to a well-known Cypriot investment firm.
The Seychelles licence SD037 is also a genuine number, but again, it is not registered to TopFX Ltd in the records we consulted. In other words, the licence numbers published in our known facts do not match the entity that operates realfxexpert.com. This is a serious discrepancy.
What this means for your account and your money
For a trader, the licence is the single most important safeguard. It determines which compensation scheme, if any, protects your deposits, and it sets the legal framework for dispute resolution. A CYSEC licence, for example, would give you access to the Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund, which covers up to €20,000 per client. A Seychelles FSA licence offers no such protection — Seychelles has no investor compensation scheme.
Because the licence numbers on file do not match the operating entity, we cannot confirm that Real Fx Expert is authorised by either regulator. In practical terms, this means that if you open an account and something goes wrong, you may have no recourse to a statutory compensation fund. We would treat any claim of regulatory protection with extreme caution.
Minimum deposit and leverage: not disclosed — and that is a problem
Our review found no published minimum deposit for Real Fx Expert accounts. Similarly, there is no official statement on maximum leverage. In the absence of disclosure, we cannot tell you whether you would be trading with 1:30 leverage (the EU retail cap under CYSEC rules) or 1:500 or higher (common in offshore jurisdictions).
This matters because leverage is a double-edged sword. High leverage can amplify gains, but it also amplifies losses, and it is a leading cause of account blow-ups among retail traders. Without a clear leverage policy, you cannot assess your risk exposure before you commit funds. In our view, a broker that does not publish its leverage is not being transparent about the risks it is asking you to take.
Spreads and commissions: no verifiable figures
We looked for published spreads and commission schedules on realfxexpert.com and in aggregated industry data. We found none that could be reliably attributed to this specific entity. The web results we reviewed largely refer to other firms with similar names, and we have disregarded them for this reason.
What this means is that we cannot tell you whether Real Fx Expert offers tight spreads, raw spreads, or commission-based pricing. We also cannot confirm whether there are hidden fees for deposits, withdrawals, or inactivity. A lack of published pricing is not necessarily evidence of bad behaviour, but it is a significant gap in the information a trader needs to make an informed choice.
Trading platforms: no confirmed offering
We found no confirmation of which trading platforms Real Fx Expert offers. There is no mention of MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, or a proprietary web platform on the official domain. The absence of platform information is unusual — most brokers, even small ones, advertise their platforms prominently.
Without a confirmed platform, you cannot verify charting tools, execution speeds, or the availability of automated trading. You also cannot check whether the platform is regulated or audited. We would advise any trader to demand clarity on the platform before depositing funds.
Demo accounts: unconfirmed
We found no evidence that Real Fx Expert offers a demo account. A demo account is a basic tool for testing a broker's platform and execution without risking real money. Its absence is not a violation of any rule, but it is another sign that this broker is not providing the transparency we would expect.
If you are considering this broker, we strongly recommend asking for a demo account before making a deposit. If the broker cannot or will not provide one, that is a warning sign.
Account opening and KYC: what to expect
The account-opening process at Real Fx Expert is not documented in our records. We do not know whether it is fully online, how long it takes, or what documents are required. In the absence of this information, we can only describe the standard process for a broker of this type.
Typically, you would need to provide proof of identity (a passport or national ID) and proof of address (a utility bill or bank statement). You would also need to answer questions about your trading experience and financial situation. We recommend that you treat any request for documents with caution and verify the broker's legitimacy before sending sensitive information.
Our verdict: proceed with extreme caution
In FXCanary's assessment, Real Fx Expert presents a high-risk profile. The licence numbers on file do not match the operating entity, there is no verifiable website or social-media presence, and the broker has zero employees on record. The FXCanary Scam Risk Score of 43/100 ('Guarded') reflects these concerns.
We cannot recommend opening an account with Real Fx Expert at this time. If you still choose to proceed, do so with a sum you can afford to lose, and be aware that you may have no regulatory protection. We will continue to monitor this broker and update our review if new information emerges.
