AIMSFX accounts: what we know — and what we don't

When we set out to review AIMSFX's account offering, we expected to find the usual menu of standard, silver, gold and VIP tiers that populate the websites of retail brokers. Instead, our investigation hit a wall: the broker's official domain, aimefx.com, is currently unavailable. That single fact shapes everything we can say about the accounts on offer.

In FXCanary's assessment, a broker whose website is offline is a broker that cannot be properly assessed. We could not locate any live account application form, any published terms and conditions, or any disclosure of spreads, commissions or leverage. The absence of this information is not a minor gap — it is the central finding of this review. For a trader, it means there is no way to verify the cost of trading, the margin requirements, or even the basic mechanics of opening an account.

The FCA licence question: a red flag on the account page

AIMSFX claims to hold a Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) licence, number 217689, for Market Making (MM) activity in the United Kingdom. We cross-checked this against the public register and found that the licence number is not associated with the entity operating as AIMSFX. In plain terms, the licence appears to be cloned from a different firm.

This matters directly for accounts. If the FCA licence were genuine, UK clients would be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme and the Financial Ombudsman Service. With a cloned licence, those protections do not apply. Any funds deposited into an AIMSFX account would sit outside the UK regulatory perimeter, with no recourse if the broker fails or misbehaves. We treat this as a serious risk flag.

Account types: no verifiable tiers

Our records do not contain any specific account tiers for AIMSFX. We found no evidence of a standard account, a premium account, or any variation in minimum deposit, spread or commission structure. The company description mentions only that AIMSFX offers 'trading services to individuals interested in the financial markets' — a generic statement that tells us nothing about the product.

We are not willing to invent account categories where none are documented. If AIMSFX's website returns, the first thing we would look for is a clear breakdown of account types, minimum deposits and trading costs. Until then, we must state plainly: the account offering is undisclosed. A trader cannot make an informed decision about which account to choose because no choices are presented.

Leverage and margin: an unknown with real consequences

Leverage is one of the most important factors in choosing a trading account, and it is also one of the most dangerous when it is not disclosed. For AIMSFX, we have no information on the maximum leverage offered, nor on margin requirements for any instrument. This is not a minor omission.

If the broker were FCA-regulated, retail leverage would be capped at 30:1 for major forex pairs, with lower caps for other assets. But because the FCA licence is suspected to be a clone, those protections do not apply. A trader opening an account with AIMSFX could be offered leverage far above the FCA limit, exposing them to the risk of losing more than their initial deposit. Without disclosure, we cannot warn about a specific number — but we can warn that the absence of any leverage information is itself a danger signal.

Deposits and withdrawals: no process to review

Every broker's account page should explain how to fund an account and how to withdraw profits. For AIMSFX, we found no documentation of deposit methods, withdrawal procedures, or any associated fees. There is no mention of bank transfers, credit cards, e-wallets, or any other payment channel.

In our experience, brokers that are unwilling or unable to publish their deposit and withdrawal terms are often difficult to pay out from. We are not saying that AIMSFX is a scam — our Scam Risk Score of 43/100 is 'Guarded', not 'High Risk' — but we are saying that the lack of any verifiable payment process is a significant concern. A trader who cannot confirm how to get money out of an account should think twice before putting money in.

Trading platforms and tools: nothing to evaluate

Most brokers advertise their trading platforms prominently — MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, or a proprietary web platform. AIMSFX's website is offline, so we could not verify which platforms are offered, if any. We also found no evidence of demo accounts, educational resources, or market analysis tools.

For a new trader, a demo account is often the first step in evaluating a broker. Without a demo, there is no way to test execution speeds, charting tools, or customer support. For an experienced trader, the absence of platform information is equally problematic: it suggests the broker may not have a functioning trading infrastructure. In FXCanary's assessment, the lack of any verifiable platform is another reason to treat this broker with caution.

How to open an account: a process that doesn't exist — yet

Normally, we would describe the account-opening process step by step: fill out an online form, submit proof of identity and address, wait for approval, fund the account, and start trading. For AIMSFX, we cannot do that. With the website offline, there is no application form, no KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure, and no customer support channel to guide a new client through the process.

We also note that AIMSFX has no verifiable social-media presence, and our records show zero employees. That means there is no identifiable person or team behind the broker. In the event of a dispute, a trader would have no one to contact. This is not a hypothetical concern — it is a structural feature of the broker as we know it.

Who is this account for? Our honest answer

Given everything we have found, we cannot recommend AIMSFX to any category of trader. Beginners need a regulated broker with a clear account structure and a demo account — AIMSFX offers none of that. Experienced traders need transparency on costs, leverage and execution — AIMSFX provides none of that. Even high-risk traders who accept unregulated brokers typically expect a functioning website and a responsive support team; AIMSFX has neither.

We are not saying that AIMSFX is an outright scam — the evidence is too thin for that conclusion. But 'guarded' is the right risk rating. The broker's own claims of an FCA licence are suspect, its website is dead, and its account offering is a blank page. Until AIMSFX publishes verifiable information about its accounts, the only prudent action is to stay away.

The bottom line for traders

Our deep dive into AIMSFX's accounts has produced one clear conclusion: there is nothing to review because there is no verifiable product. The broker's website is unavailable, its FCA licence is suspected to be a clone, and no account types, fees, leverage or platforms are disclosed. These are not minor gaps in an otherwise solid offering — they are fundamental failures of transparency.

If you are considering AIMSFX, we urge you to wait. Wait until the website returns, wait until the broker publishes a clear account structure, and wait until you can verify the FCA licence against the public register. In the meantime, there are many other brokers with transparent account terms and genuine regulation. Our advice is simple: do not deposit funds with a broker that cannot even show you its account page.

How to open a AIMSFX account

The typical steps to open and fund a AIMSFX account. FXCanary always recommends testing a broker with a small deposit and a withdrawal before committing serious capital.

  1. Register — sign up on the official AIMSFX site with your email and basic details.
  2. Verify (KYC) — upload ID and proof of address; regulated brokers legally must verify you.
  3. Choose an account — pick a tier from the table above that matches your deposit and strategy.
  4. Fund — deposit via a supported method (start small to test the process).
  5. Test a withdrawal — before scaling up, confirm you can withdraw smoothly.
